Welcome to the
Bujinkan Ryuuko Hikan Dojo
Bujinkan Ryuuko Hikan Dojo is a traditional Japanese martial arts school in Roseville, California. We teach Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, a martial art based on historical Japanese combat traditions that include unarmed self-defense, movement, balance, striking, grappling, and traditional weapons training.
Our dojo is not a commercial gym or a competitive fight club.
We are a small training community where students learn practical skills, build confidence, improve their physical ability, and support each other’s growth.
No previous martial arts experience is required.
What We Teach
Students train in:
-
• Self-defense skills
• Rolling and falling safely
• Striking & receiving attacks
• Grabs, escapes, & control methods
• Sword, stick, & staff training
• Conditioning, flexibility, & coordination
Our goal is to help students move better, build confidence, stay calm under pressure, and develop skills they can continue improving for life.

A Personal Dojo Community
At Bujinkan Ryuuko Hikan Dojo, training is about more than techniques. We believe a dojo should be a community where students know each other, encourage each other, and grow together.
We welcome students of different backgrounds and experience levels. What matters most is a willingness to train safely, respectfully, and consistently.
Our dojo values respect, discipline, humility, safety, and care for training partners. Your etiquette guide specifically emphasizes maintaining a respectful, safe, and encouraging training environment.
